Terms and conditions

  1. This Raffle is being promoted by: SportsAid

  3. The Society is a charity (registration no. 1111612)
  4. The Society is operating a Society Lottery under the Gambling Act 2005.
  5. By entering the draw, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and Rules.
  6. The draws opens for entries on Sunday 1 September and closes for entries at 10pm on Monday 30 September.
  7. To enter the draw a ticket (or tickets) must be purchased from this website.
  8. The winners of the draw will be chosen at random from all entries received by the Closing Date.
  9. There are 15 prizes available to be won in the draw
  • First prize: THE 149th OPEN 2020 AT ROYAL ST.GEORGE'S – Four Scorers hospitality tickets to the practice day of The Open on Wednesday 15 July 2020. The hospitality includes beverages (excluding spirits) and food throughout the day, one parking pass, official admission ticket with fast-track entrance and TV coverage within the club and private garden area. Date of tickets is non-transferable. If tickets are resold in any capacity, they are void. Tickets are not for resale and you are strictly prohibited from selling or passing on these tickets to anyone else. (Kindly donated by The R&A);
  • Second prize: REFRESHING RETREAT AT STOKE PARK FOR TWO – Two guests will enjoy a refreshing retreat at Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire. This includes full use of the spa, health and racquet facilities with lunch for two, as well as one 55 minute treatment of your choice. Stoke Park is set within the sweeping natural beauty of a thousand year old estate and has become a unique and accessible fusion of heritage-rich elegance and contemporary luxury, where some of the finest sporting and leisure facilities in the world can be enjoyed. To be arranged on a mutually convenient Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). Valid from 1 October 2019 until 1st July 2020, subject to final availability.   • Fourth prize: LIONESSESS WEMBLEY HOSPITALITY - Four VIP tickets to Wembley on Saturday 9 November to see World Cup semi-finalists, the England Lionesses take on Germany. (Kindly donated by the FA);
  • Fifth prize: BARONESS GREY-THOMPSON - HOUSE OF LORDS EXPERIENCE - Two guests will enjoy a tour of the historic and imposing Palace of Westminster, hosted by The Baroness Grey-Thompson DBE DL, followed by afternoon tea in the House of Lords. (Kindly donated by Baroness Grey-Thompson DBE DL);
  • Sixth prize: PREMIER LEAGUE HOSPITALITY: LIVERPOOL V BRIGHTON TICKETS - Two tickets in the Carlsberg Lounge for Liverpool v Brighton at Anfield Stadium on Saturday 30 November at 3pm. The hospitality includes beverages (excluding spirits) and a meal before the match. Date of tickets is non-transferable. Names will be on a guest list, those that arrive must match the names on the guest list or entry will be denied. If tickets are resold in any capacity, they are void. Date and times are subject to change. Guests must be aged 18 years old and over. Tickets are not for resale and you are strictly prohibited from selling or passing on these tickets to anyone else. (Kindly donated by Carlsberg);
  • Seventh Prize: QUEEN'S TENNIS - Two tickets to the Fever-Tree Championships at Queen's Club on Monday 15 June 2020 as they build-up to the Wimbledon Championships. (Kindly donated by the LTA);
  • Eighth Prize: HEAD TO TOE NIKE KIT! – Win over £250 worth of Nike kit including sports clothing, kit bag and footwear. Subject to availability and sizes. Nike kit will be redeemed by SportsAid directly. No in-store purchases are available. (Kindly donated by Nike);
  • Nineth Prize: A CHRISTMAS CAROL AT THE OLD VIC - A pair of tickets to The Old Vic's A Christmas Carol. Directed by Matthew Warchus and starring Paterson Joseph as Ebenezer Scrooge, Charles Dickens' timeless classic is vividly brought to the stage in a joyous adaption by Jack Thorne. The production runs from 23 November 2019 until 18 January 2020, date of performance to be selected by the ticket winner and will be dependent on availability. If tickets are sold in any capacity, they are void. The performance is recommended for guests aged 8 years old and above as it contains haunting and supernatural themes which some younger audiences may find upsetting, parental discretion is advised.   • Tenth prize: PREMIER LEAGUE TICKETS AT THE EMIRATES - Win two tickets to watch Arsenal take on Brighton on Tuesday 3 December 2019. Date of tickets is non-transferable. If tickets are resold in any capacity, they are void. Date and times are subject to change. (Kindly donated by Ladbrokes-Coral);
  • Eleventh Prize: CHELSEA FOOTBALL SHIRT 2019/20 - An official shirt from the 2019-20 season signed by members of the first team squad. (Kindly donated by Chelsea FC Foundation);
  • Twelfth Prize:  SIGNED TEAM INEOS CYCLING JERSEY - A signed Team Ineos cycling jersey from the 2019 Tour de France winners. (Kindly donated by Team Ineos and Sir Dave Brailsford);
  • Thirteenth Prize: FAMILY SKI PASS - 1 Hour Family Lift Pass or Lesson at The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead for up to six people. Includes: A complimentary meal in the Alpine restaurant, boots, helmets, and snowboard or ski rental equipment included. Subject to availability. Pre-booking required. Prize has no cash value. Minimum standard applies to the Family Lift Pass. The Snow Centre's general terms and conditions apply. (Kindly donated by The Snow Centre);
  • Fourteenth Prize: LONDON STADIUM TOUR - Win a private stadium tour for 2-10 people at the home of West Ham United and the site of the 2012 London Games. (Kindly donated by London Stadium)

10. Where relevant, the Prizes will be delivered to an address specified by the winner on the UK mainland or specified address

11. No cash alternative is available

12. Your chances of winning are variable, depending on how many tickets are sold for the raffle as a whole. Your winning odds are the number of tickets you have purchased divided by the total number of tickets in the draw.

13. The game is open to all UK residents who are aged 18 (eighteen) or over on the date of ticket purchase, except for employees of the society.

14. Any person found to be under 18 (eighteen) years of age on the date of ticket purchase automatically forfeits the right to the Prize.
. You must be 18 (eighteen) or over to play or claim a prize. We may conduct random checks of entrants to ensure there are no underage players. Random checks are conducted using AgeChecked (or similar service from a third party supplier as and when stipulated). If a person enters the game stating that they are over the age of 18 (eighteen) and subsequently it is found that they are less than 18 (eighteen) years of age, they will have any money paid in relation to the draw/s returned to them and where relevant will automatically forfeit the right to any prize. 

16. The winner may need to provide proof of age before collecting the prize. Acceptable documentation of the winner’s proof of age will be a scan of their passport or driving license.

17. When you purchase a ticket for the draw a unique ticket number will be issued and displayed onscreen at the point of purchase. Confirmation of your ticket number/s will also be emailed to the address supplied during the ticket purchasing process.

18. Tickets to enter the draw/s are priced at £5 each and can be bought individually or in ticket bundles from this website and individuals are limited to a total spend of £100.

19. All draw entry sales are final. Refunds are at the sole discretion of the Society and will be payable only where the Society deems it reasonable, having regard for all the circumstances. All participants acknowledge that their payment of the ticket price does not guarantee that they will win any Prize.

20. Full payment for each ticket must be received in cleared funds before the ticket can be entered into the draw. Only tickets for which full payment has been received are eligible to win the Prizes.

21. Payment for tickets can be made by debit/credit card only.

22. Winners of the Raffle Prizes will be contacted by the Society within seven working days of the draw taking place. Details of the winners will also be posted on the Website.

23. All participants are solely responsible for providing and (where necessary) updating the Society with their accurate and up-to-date contact details and the Society will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any participant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the participant has provided.

24. The Society shall not be liable to any participant for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:

  • any delays or failures in the delivery methods used by the Society or the participant;
  • any delays or failures in any software or other systems used by the Society for the administration of the draw;
  • any delays or failures in the banking system used by the Society or the participant;
  • any refusal by the Society to accept an individual’s entry or the cancellation of an entry;
  • any event beyond the reasonable control of the Society.

25. To the extent permitted by law, the Society excludes any liability for loss or damage incurred by any winner of a Prize in connection with or arising from the use of the Prize or participation in the draw.

26. The Society is committed to protecting the privacy of participants. Personal information that is collected from participants is used lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. In providing your information to the Society, you consent to the Society using your information to process your entry and otherwise as described in these terms and conditions including (but not limited to) passing winners’ contact details on to representatives of third party companies used for the purposes of fulfilling the Prize and publishing winners’ names on the Website. 27. The Society reserves the right to: 
  • disqualify or decline to accept the entry of any participant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the participant has breached any of these terms or otherwise acted fraudulently;
  • terminate or suspend the draw for reasons beyond its reasonable control

28. In the event of any dispute regarding the draw, if the dispute cannot be resolved by the parties, it will be referred to an independent third party. Please refer to the Social Responsibility Policy at website address.

29. This draw is a form of gambling. Participants are encouraged to gamble responsibly. Please read our Social Responsibility Policy or visit the GamCare website (http://www.gamcare.org.uk) for more information on Problem Gambling.

30. The Laws of England and Wales shall govern the interpretation and/or enforcement of these Rules. The Society and all participants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
